What educators are saying

Great interactive notebook for statistics. I put the books together to make it quicker and easier for the students. We were able to go one concept at a time to cover all the topics included in the INB.
I really like this foldable. There were some details I wish could have been included (relative frequencies, interquartile range) but I added them myself.

Description

This editable algebra 1 foldable provides an introduction and overview for most of the univariate and bivariate data and statistics taught in the Algebra 1 standards. It is organized by the following tabs:

  • Dot Plots
  • Histograms
  • Box Plots
  • Two-Way Frequency Tables
  • Overview

Within the foldable there are at least two examples for each type of graph. It also allows for you to review/ address the following terms: mean, median mode, range, interquartile range, outliers, standard deviation, marginal and joint frequency.

Perfect for interactive math notebooks! I use this type of assignment during whole group guided instruction, but it would also work great for intervention, small group, centers, or during a tutoring session.

This download includes a print + go PDF version, as well as the editable PowerPoint file.

Represent data with plots on the real number line (dot plots, histograms, and box plots).
Use statistics appropriate to the shape of the data distribution to compare center (median, mean) and spread (interquartile range, standard deviation) of two or more different data sets.
Interpret differences in shape, center, and spread in the context of the data sets, accounting for possible effects of extreme data points (outliers).
Summarize categorical data for two categories in two-way frequency tables. Interpret relative frequencies in the context of the data (including joint, marginal, and conditional relative frequencies). Recognize possible associations and trends in the data.
