What educators are saying

Great piece to wrap up our previous learning. Student enjoyed having the options provided and found it relatable and engaging

Description

Students will be able to identify and describe ways in which popular culture and media influence our awareness, understanding, and appreciation of dance through this Dance in Pop Culture and Media Research Project! In groups, students will create a PowerPoint or Google Slides presentation where they analyze how dancers are portrayed and represented in one television show and in one music video. They will research and answer a series of questions, then present their findings to the rest of the class.

This product includes:

- Handout outlining all details and expectations for the assignment, including a list of questions to be researched and answered

- Rubric for the presentation

- Chart to record student groups and their chosen TV show and music video
