Dance Program Stage 1 (Y1 & Y2) based on NSW K-6 Creative Arts Syllabus Outcomes

Students will participate in six dance lessons lasting 45 minutes each. These lessons provide opportunities for students’ personal expression, enjoyment, imagination and kinaesthetic movement. Students compose and perform their own sequence of movements using the elements of dance. Students explore a range of movements to convey ideas, feelings and moods. Students develop knowledge, skills and understanding in appreciating their own dances and those of others.
