What educators are saying

Outstanding resource for my Alternate Learning Environment class. Easy to use instructions and engaging.
Perfect to use for a daily notes for students to circle or use dot stampers to send home to families.

Description

These daily take-home notes are designed to improve communication between home and school, for families and teachers of special education or early childhood students!

Communication between school and home is SO important, especially for families of young children, or students with significant disabilities, who are unable to verbally share about their day when they get home. These daily take home notes will allow parents to engage in conversation with their child after school and reference specific details of their day. These notes allow teachers to connect with parents, starting with something positive that happened during the day, reviewing support services received, the student’s behavior (if applicable), activities the student participated in, requests for supplies or items, and reports health & hygiene information, such as how much was eaten and/or toileting attempts that occurred that day.

One important feature of these take home notes, is the students’ ability to participate in filling out the form. After teachers write in required information, the pages are designed to have students mark the picture symbols with a BINGO dauber to indicate which activities they participated in that day and/or which personnel they were able to work with. Whether students are able to do so independently, with verbal and visual guidance, or hand-over-hand physical prompting, it is important that all students are given the opportunity to take ownership of their education and participate in reporting their at-school-experiences with their families.
