What educators are saying

These were a huge success with my 2.5 year in creating daily routines. He is now 3 and can find the cards himself to set up for the day.
My boys love these daily schedule cards. These are so helpful for this stay at home mom whose kids constantly ask "what can we do?"

Description

Daily Routine Cards are a wonderful way to prepare your little learner for the day ahead! Display the cards from morning wake up to bed time or create your own mini routine prompts for difficult parts of the day (ie before Kindy or before bed). This packet has been recently updated to include cards specifically for homeschooling too!

What's included?

  • Set of 23 heading cards (Today is Monday, Before bed, Before school, After dinner, After preschool, Homeschool etc).
  • Over 100 printable daily routine cards (including things like getting ready for school, toileting, outings and daily activities)
  • Now includes homeschool cards (literacy, sight words, physical education, art, check in, morning meeting etc)
  • BONUS Powerpoint file so that you can create your own cards with your own images.

Why use a visual timetable?

Using a visual timetable or daily schedule helps your little learner know what to expect from their day. When they know what's coming up in their day, their behaviour improves and their anxiety about change can be managed better.

Visual timetables are often recommended by behaviour specialists, occupational therapists and other childhood specialists!

How do I use the cards?

Simply print and laminate the 84 routine cards and additional heading cards. Cut them out. Decide whether you will display the daily routine cards for the entire day or whether you want to highlight specific parts of your day, such as after Kindy or school or before bed.

Next you will need to find a central place to display your visual timetable. This location should be somewhere that is easily accessed by your little learner. Use blutac to display your cards! You may set this up at night when your little learners are sleeping or have them help you to plan your day when you wake up in the morning. The choice is yours!
