Daily Math Story Problems for Kindergarten for the Whole Year with Google Slides

Math problem solving is a critical skill for students to practice on a daily basis. I created this resource to allow for that daily practice using a variety of problem types including: put together with the total unknown, take apart with the total unknown, composition of a number, compare difference unknown (more and fewer), compare smaller unknown (more and fewer), compare bigger unknown (more and fewer), put together/take apart with addend unknown, addition with three addends, add to change unknown, take from change unknown, measurement division, put together and take apart with both addends unknown, multiple groups, equal shares, and add and take away from start unknown.

I present one story problem to my students each day. We work as a class to 'unpack' it by discussing who the story problem is about and what the problem is asking them to solve. The students then solve the story problem independently. I choose 3 or 4 of my students' work to share with the class the following day. I always choose students who have solved the story problem using different strategies so that the students can learn from each other. On the next day these solutions are shared and discussed thoroughly. Then the next daily story problem is shared and the routine continues.

This bundle includes daily math story problems for each of the months from August through May. There are 204 math story problems altogether for students to solve throughout the year.
