Description
Engage your students with this no-prep, easy-to-use digital bell ringer for grammar skills. Great for Standardized Test Prep! Students will practice proofreading for usage and mechanics, as well as practice identifying the parts of speech, parts of the sentence, phrases, clauses, and sentence structure. Review a lot of skills in a short amount of time!
This is how it works:
✅ Each week, students analyze a quote from a famous person.
Monday: Correct Capitalization and Punctuation
Tuesday: Identify Parts of Speech
Wednesday: Identify Phrases
Thursday: Identify Clauses
Friday: Identify Sentence Structure
✅ Each day, students also proofread an additional sentence for capitalization, punctuation, and usage errors.
✅ Reading and writing vocabulary is also practiced each day using a Standardized Test question format.
Each day has a new slide with hyperlinks to Anchor Charts within the slideshow for convenient reference. Need to review Sentence Structure? Students click on the link. Great for differentiation!
The right-hand margin of each slide is editable, so you can add questions, more information, clarification—or whatever you need to customize it for your students.
✅ A complete Answer Key matches the student version, so you can display and discuss it in class.

I created this product because I had a 45-minute class period to teach literature, writing, grammar, and vocabulary in a differentiated classroom. My 8th-grade students had a wide range of abilities and backgrounds in English. I needed a way to cover multiple skills in a short amount of time. I also need a way to review and practice the small skills my students needed to succeed on their writing assignments. I hope this product helps you, too!
