Streamline your classroom directions with this slide deck!
First, organize the slides into the order of the subjects you teach. Then, customize your times and the CHAMPS expectations you tend to have for each of the subjects. Either drag and drop your CHAMPS expectations or copy and paste them! See the thumbnail examples.
Each day, type your directions for your activities right on to the slide before you teach the lesson, or right while you are explaining them to students. Put it into present mode and leave it displayed during your activity. Your slides will auto save. Then each day bring up the same slide show and customize only the portions that need to change. Voila! Instant displayable lesson plans with the class expectations displayed there for students! No more answering is this a good time to go to the bathroom, can I sharpen my pencil, or work with a partner, what should I do if I am done? The answers are right there for the students!
Leave the extra slides you don’t need at the bottom of the day, because in the future you may need them! Or make a copy of the original file, so you always have a clean document to copy from. Copy and paste the slide templates to create subjects you teach that are not included here. Customize any slide or behavior expectations to meet your classroom needs!
When I have a sub, these slides come in super handy! I make a copy of my daily lesson slide deck and name it sub plans. I share that slide deck with my sub through the share button and the link!
My sub can now pull up the slides for every subject and display them for the students to follow my directions and expectations just as I have laid them out!
Type directions just for the substitute teacher’s eyes in the speaker notes (for example which students need extra help or where to turn in certain things when done.) Then go to file, print settings and choose to print 1 slide with notes. This will give you every slide with your personalized notes for the sub at the bottom. Leave these stapled and on your desk for your sub to follow along!
