Description

This easy to read, one page passage about DNA explains:

  • DNA acts as a code of instructions for our cells to follow
  • DNA molecules are made of nucleotides (adenine, thymine, cytosine, and guanine)
  • long chains of DNA and proteins called chromosomes are found in the nucleus of each sell
  • DNA is responsible for making each human unique

The passage comes with 10 multiple choice reading comprehension questions, an answer key, and 2 self-scoring digital versions - EASEL and Google Forms. Color and black line illustrations are included to accommodate black and white printing.

The passage also has a companion YouTube video. Show the video before or after reading the passage to increase student comprehension. It provides a great modification for students who need a read aloud option.
