Description
This "Cyclops" activity assesses students' knowledge of characterization, figurative language, and vocabulary for the "Cyclops" story from Book IX of The Odyssey by Homer. In addition, it checks for reading comprehension, evaluation skills, and citing specific references from the text to prove points. Students must be neat and creative when incorporating required information on the hidden door foldie activity. This is a great review activity, or it can be used in the place of a test to assess students' understanding of "Cyclopes."

Furthermore, this hands-on activity can be done individually, in partners, or in small groups. The peer evaluation task is optional, but it does help students review the story. Instructions for this optional task are included.
