Scissor skills can help build pencil use by strengthening the thumb index/middle fingers trio with their open-shut motion. But because of time limitations, it's always good to water two plants with one hose. This bundle does just that: scissors practice + phonics!

Differentiate- for Kids With Varying Levels of Cutting Skills

To help you differentiate for kids with varied cutting skills, I have added two packs for letter sound shapes (easy and difficult cutting shapes—all full page sized). These full-page cutting shapes are large with thicker cutting lines. They have fewer curves and turns to help support a beginner's scissors practice.

When using the cutting shapes for CVC words and digraphs, you can differentiate by choosing from one of the 3 sizes provided (full, half, 1/4 page cutting shapes). The smaller the size of the shape, the more challenging it gets to cut.
