Description

Ontario's new language curriculum (2023) requires that students write in fluent cursive writing. This is a new skill for many students.

I created this resource with simplicity in mind. Students learn to trace the cursive alphabet and then copy what they have traced. Once they master the alphabet and numbers they trace and copy curriculum facts from the literacy and social studies curriculum. By doing so, students review concepts from other curriculum strands at the same time!!!

A rubric is included as well for you to help monitor and assess this new curriculum strand!!!

D2.2 Write in fluent cursive

In doing this workbook, students also cover many other curriculum strands including:

A3.3 Explain themes explored in First Nations, Metis and Inuit Cultures...

C1.6 Identify narrator's point of view including first person, second or this person...

C3.1 Describe literary devices including hyperbole and idioms...

Bonus:

Science pages just added!
