Cultural Spanish Project: Make Your Own Alebrije - Coco Movie - Rubric- EDITABLE
- Zip
Description
Looking for a fun hands-on cultural activity? This is one of my students’ favorite projects, as they use their creativity in making their own alebrije out of air-dry clay. It can be used as a culminating activity for the movie Coco by Pixar or after a Mexican Culture study unit.
The student worksheet includes detailed and clear instructions for students to complete this project in steps. It is a 2 hour project divided into 4 days, but can be adjusted according to your needs and the time you have available. Students will plan how their alebrijes will look like (based on their own personal traits), create and paint their sculptures and write descriptive sentences.
There are two rubrics included: a simplified version for easy grading, and a more detailed one where you can give feedback to students on their writing.
Included in this resource:
● Step by Step Editable Student Worksheet
● Two Editable Rubrics (simplified and detailed)
● Step by Step Student Worksheet PDF
● Two Rubrics in PDF (simplified and detailed)
