Description
Take advantage of this no-prep, easy to use, digital project, worksheet, reflection, and grading rubric. Students will research the the cultural differences, non-verbal symbols and images, cross-communication barriers and strategies to overcome them, and low- vs. high-context cultures for conducting business in another country.
This product promotes student choice by allowing them to select the country they will research and select the product type they would like to create. Students have the choice to create a slideshow article or infographic on cultural differences for conducting business in that country. Students will need Internet access to complete the project.
After students have created their product, they will present their findings to the class.
As students listen to others present or view other projects, they will complete the Cultural Differences Worksheet. This worksheet contains squares for students to record one interesting thing they learned from each presentation. Last, have students answer the 8 questions on the Cultural Differences Reflection. No answer key is provided because answers will vary.
The teacher guide includes instructions for implementation and a simple pacing guide to help students budget their time efficiently. I suggest providing students with 3, 90-minute class periods for research/presentation creation and 1 day for student presentations. This product is in PDF.
