Description

This resource is a 4-week lesson plan based on the artist Paride Bertolin. Students will learn about illustration before creating an ink-wash monster in the style of Bertolin.

It is aimed at KS3 / 6th-8th Grade (11-14) students. This block of lessons could be extended or shortened, depending on how long you want to spend on each section. Each part of the PowerPoint is based on a 50 minute lesson.

This is part of a wider scheme of learning under the umbrella title of 'Creatures & Characters.'

31 Power Point Slides include:

'Do it now tasks' and plenaries as well as lessons on sketching in the style of Bertolin and creating your own Bertolin-inspired monster. Included are two video sections. The first on Bertolin's sketchbook as well as a recorded video of how I created ink monsters using coloured pens and water.

Each lesson starts with an introduction slide to add your information about what was previously completed and today's lesson, as well as a blank learning objectives section on each slide and keywords.

This lesson plan is part of a bundle that can be purchased on the theme ‘Creatures and Characters’ covering three terms worth of projects. All lessons have the same PowerPoint theme for continuity and total the equivalent of 3 half-term worth of lessons. Please note that I am in the process of updating all of the slides - the bundle will be back soon!
