Kids of all ages LOVE working with clay! But if you don’t have a background in ceramics, it can be intimidating at first to teach it. If you’re new to teaching ceramics, this pdf will jumpstart your ceramics knowledge and get you teaching like a pro in no time! Even if you already have experience with clay, there’s always more to learn and you’re sure to pick up some new tips and ideas that you can put into practice right away.

I was an Art major in college with an emphasis in Ceramics, and I hold a K-12 teaching credential in Art. I've taught ceramics in grades K-8 as well as in adult education programs and to disabled adults at our community college. In creating this pdf, I've compiled all that I’ve learned about ceramics over the years that a classroom teacher might find helpful and put it in one convenient place.

If you’re like me, every tip that saves you time, money, or sanity is worth its weight in gold! If you're teaching ceramics at any grade level you'll find helpful information here that will make your job easier and more enjoyable.

My hope is that the tips and techniques I share in this pdf will help you get to the next level in your teaching and equip you to teach ceramics with confidence, enjoying the creativity and success that flows from your students as a result!
