Description

A perfect way to introduce students to the world of movie analysis and film music composition. This exciting project provides students with a guided outline for creating their own original film score through outlined storyboard planning, film analysis and music composition!

Students begin by exploring several YouTube examples from iconic films and analyze the use of music and sound effects to enhance the on-screen visuals (included in the resource is a YouTube playlist that can be expanded to fit any age or teaching need).

Students are then guided to select a video to create and compose an original score to. Using guiding questions and a visual timeline template, students are able to plan out their composition before they begin creating.
