There are step by step instructions in student activity booklet on how to create websites of a professional standard. There are also 2 puzzles to help consolidate understanding of Google Sites.
Skills learnt from this unit would enable the learner to create other websites of personal or professional nature like an online resume, photography showcase, business website etc.
No teacher prep necessary. Teacher directed learning would be best but this unit is suitable for self-paced learning. Learner needs digital access to google drive and the internet. Unit can be completely paperless. Activity booklet could be printed if needed.
Pre-Requisites: Competent computer skills, experience with google drive, website attributes and the internet would be desirable. Competent reading skills with ability to follow instructions is required for this unit. Use Google Chrome, Firefox, Edge or Safari browsers for creating the site. Suitable for Chromebook users.
