Looking for a way to teach students how to use their knowledge of media literacy and graphic design while also providing students with an opportunity to become more aware of important African-American figures in society today?! In this digital lesson file, suitable for grades 5-8, students will complete an assignment where they will create a magazine cover dedicated to a person of colour, with facts, images, quotes and much more about them! Within this file, the activity description, exemplar and (condensed) rubric are included.
