Description
In this assignment, students compare two versions of the same song; the original recording and the cover. Students complete a cover song chart for each comparison with the following prompts: artist, date released, YouTube link, genre, musical style, mood, message, instrumentation, a brief critique by describing characteristics of the music and using musical vocabulary.
This digital resource can be used for both in-person and remote online learning and is 100% editable. I created this assignment for use with secondary general music students (middle and high school, grades 7-12).
