Counting Pennies SMARTboard Money Lesson Activity

Are you looking for a fun, interactive math lesson to teach your young students about pennies and money? These piggy bank themed SMARTboard activities teach about the value of the coins, specifically pennies. All pages can be used whole group and small group. Here’s what’s included:

*Money Poem – a poem about pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters

*What’s a Penny – penny descriptions

*Identify the Pennies – sort the pennies from the rest of the coins

*Count the Pennies – count the pennies in the piggy bank and click on the correct price tag

*Penny Match – match the penny amounts with the correct value

*Let’s Go Shopping – read the price tag and count out the correct amount to “buy” the item
