Quickly learn how to count from zero to one thousand in easy step by step. Start off with worksheets to practice writing numbers from zero to twenty. From there, students learn how to add one and count by tens to get to one hundred. Later, students move to counting by hundreds to get to one thousand.

Learn to count and write from zero to twenty.

  • Practice writing worksheets.
  • Count beautifully drawn objects.
  • Add by one (i.e., 2 + 1 = 3)
  • Minus by one (i.e., 6 - 1 = 5)
  • Compare two numbers to see which is bigger or smaller (i.e., 6 or 19).

Learn to count by fives up to one hundred.

  • Fill-in-the blanks (i.e., 20, 25, blank, 35)
  • Connect-the-dots to draw a rabbit and a fish.

Learn to count by tens to one hundred.

  • Add tens and ones (i.e. 10 + 2 = 12, 20 + 3 = 23)
  • Compare two numbers to see which is bigger or smaller (i.e., 25 or 36).
  • Connect-the-dots to draw an ice cream bar, flower and cat.

Learn to count by hundreds to one thousand.

  • Hundred plus tens plus ones (i.e., 300 + 20 + 7 = 327)
  • Fill in a number pattern.
  • Connect-the-dots to draw a hand.

Learn about even and odd numbers.

  • Fill in the even numbers.
  • Fill in the odd numbers.
  • Find odd numbers in a group and find even numbers in a group.
  • Connect-the-dots to draw a bird, cupcake, hot dog, soda, and violin.

Connect-the-dots is a fun approach to reinforce counting, plus it helps students with hand control.

Count to 100 by ones and by tens.
Count forward beginning from a given number within the known sequence (instead of having to begin at 1).
Write numbers from 0 to 20. Represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20 (with 0 representing a count of no objects).
Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities; connect counting to cardinality.
When counting objects, say the number names in the standard order, pairing each object with one and only one number name and each number name with one and only one object.
