Description
Self-regulation is the ability to understand and manage your behavior and your reactions to feelings and things happening around you.
It includes being able to adjust to highly emotional reactions such as upsetting stimuli, to calm yourself down when you are emotionally heightened, to adjust to a change, and to handle frustration without temper outbursts.
Self-regulation involves taking a pause between a feeling and an action—taking the time to think things through, make a plan, and wait patiently. Children often struggle with these behaviors, and adults may as well.
These worksheets have been developed to help children understand their feelings as well as learn coping skills to help self-regulate.
This bundle includes
- Flashcards
- Posters
