Description

This Notebook presentation is used either as an interactive lecture or inquiry based research assignment for students. It is developed so students research evidence of continental drift (Alfred Wegener) and plot the observations onto an interactive map. As the data accumulates, and plotted onto the map (grouped to stay with the continent), students match the coastlines of the continent to complete the Pangea "puzzle" as explained by the continental drift theory. All in all, students assess the four key pieces of evidence for continental drift (fossils, glaciers, bedrock, and coastlines) and how they support Alfred Wegener's theory.

Note: because of file limitations, the preview is only a pdf version of one of the interactive slides. The images at the bottom can be added to the map in the full version. Once on the map, they can be grouped and moved with the continents.
