Students read a text, look at a photograph, and use clues to define the underlined word. Context clues are highlighted.
Activity 2 – What’s the Meaning of the SILLY Word?
Students read the text and use context clues to discover the underlined made-up word.
Activity 3 – Homonyms
Students must be word detectives. The underlined word in each sentence has multiple meanings. They must discover the correct meaning and move a magnifying glass to show their answers.
