Description

This resource contains the DIGITAL version of my context clues task cards that focus on character trait vocabulary. Two formats are included: Google Forms and Google Slides! This resource contains 24 task cards. Each task card contains a sentence or paragraph with an underlined word. Students read the sentence(s), and use context clues to determine the meaning of the underlined word. These feature a multiple-choice format, making them a great test prep activity.

Your students will read 24 different character traits in the context of sentences. I used both positive and negative character traits. Some of the words include: ambitious, decisive, efficient, rational, tolerant, diligent, arrogant, deceitful, mischievous, boisterous, surly, witty, insolent, and cowardly.

How the Google Forms Format Works:

Google Forms are paperless and self-grading. As students complete the activity, grades and data are collected automatically. You will be able to see each student's answers. You will also be able to analyze each question, and view how many students answered each question correctly and incorrectly.

How the Google Slides Format Works:

Google Slides are paperless, as well. There is one task card per slide (24 slides in all). When I created this version, I envisioned teachers using these slides in a group setting, where the teacher and students read the cards and identify the best answer together. They can also be assigned for independent work. Students move the checkmark to show the answer that they select.
