What educators are saying

This is one of my students' favorite projects. They get really creative with the absurdity of surrealism and like the constraint of creating it within a perspective room. The student examples are a great addition.

Surrealism In Perspective Entire Unit - Bonus

    Description

This product includes everything that you need to teach a rigorous, engaging unit that combines Surrealism with One-Point-Perspective. This project is fool-proof, and requires absolutely zero preparation from you.

Teach this unit in-person or remotely with the sharable Google Drive documents.

This unit is one of my favorites for a few reasons. First, students love learning how to draw in perspective. The perspective tutorials included in this unit take students from novice to expert, ready to apply core techniques to their own work. Second, this unit combines perspective with Surrealism. This age group loves surrealism, and the included article and activity give students a solid and age-appropriate background on the movement.

With this unit, your students will create beautiful products that challenge them and make them proud. Not that you need more convincing, but your administration will also love this unit. Not only does it incorporate math concepts while teaching Perspective, but when learning about Surrealism students will read an article, analyze artwork, and apply these concepts to their own works.
