This resource allows students to choose a composer of their choice, shows them how to find reliable and accurate information, and then put that information into a 8-page Google Slides presentation to share with the teachers or to present to the class.
This upper elementary or middle school project can be used as a full class independent research project in the general music classroom, for a long term sub who may not have a music background, or for individual students in performing ensembles who may need an alternative assignment.
All templates and resources to give students can be easily pushed through Google Classroom. Many resources are provided to ensure student success: a fillable presentation template for the student to complete, editable list of reliable resources and websites, editable list of composers to choose from, a how-to/pacing guide, and a sample completed project to use as demonstration.
The seven slide presentation includes space to include information on the composer's early years, composer details, biographical facts, music, sources, etc.
