Compliment Time: A Compliment Giving Game (Social Skills | Teaching Compliments)
- PDF
- Easel Activity
Description
Compliment Time is a fun game to help students practice giving and receiving compliments! If you are having a hard time coming up with different, and engaging, ways to teach compliments then this is the game you need!
How to Play?
Simple! Each student gets a card. You decide whether students pick the cards themselves or they are shuffled and dealt out. Students will then take turns reading their card and following the direction.
Working 1-on-1? No worries, simply take turns reading the cards and giving one another compliments!
Don't forget to kindly accept the compliments once you receive them! :)
What Is Included?
- 36 Game Cards
- Instructions
- Word List (students can reference the list for new words instead of using the same descriptive words over and over again)
- Examples of Compliments (if students are first learning the skill or are unsure what to say they can reference the example list)
Examples of some of the cards:
- Pick a word to describe the person to your right. "You are...."
- Tell the person to your left something that you like about them. "I like that you are.."
- Lucky you! Ask the person to your right to give you a compliment. Then give them one back.
- Pick someone to give this compliment to: "You are hardworking."
