Complete Set of Snack Serving/Portion Cards to Support Children's Independence

Young children are very capable. In Montessori education, we set up the environment to support children's independence. This includes snack serving. In some classrooms, children serve themselves snack or older children serve them. This is possible with the help of snack portion counting/number cards (and tongs). This bundle includes both the basic set (that shows a number (symbol) and quantity (black dots) in black and white for #1-9 with 4 cards for each quantity) as well as the deluxe set (that has photos of common snacks with serving size/numbers). In my classroom, we place the photo or number on the front of the bowl (with tape) and children serve themselves using tongs/spoon. There is 120 cards in all. They are a beautiful touch!
