What educators are saying

The perfect resource for students to practice comparing two functions by comparing their rates of change.
I love resources where students get the chance to compare different problems and this resource gave them the chance to not only find the rate of change but compare it as well. That truly helps deepen their understanding!

Description

Students will be given two functions to compare all represented different ways(table, equation, graph, or verbal description). They will have to compare the rate of change for each function. All functions have a constant rate of change. This is a great way to introduce functions and to practice using rate of change(without using slope).

★Included in this product:
--Worksheet with 12 problems
*There are 6 of each 4 ways a function is represented.
--Answer Key for easy grading
--Detailed answer key with work shown

Compare properties of two functions each represented in a different way (algebraically, graphically, numerically in tables, or by verbal descriptions). For example, given a linear function represented by a table of values and a linear function represented by an algebraic expression, determine which function has the greater rate of change.
