What educators are saying

This resource was an excellent way to apply multiple representations of functions in real world scenarios.

Description

This worksheet gives students pricing information for four different t-shirt companies. Students must analyze different representations, including tables and graphs. Using these representations, students will write a linear function in slope-intercept form for each different company. Then they will use their functions to determine which companies will offer the best prices for different sized orders of shirts.

Standards

Compare properties of two functions each represented in a different way (algebraically, graphically, numerically in tables, or by verbal descriptions). For example, given a linear function represented by a table of values and a linear function represented by an algebraic expression, determine which function has the greater rate of change.
