Community Helpers Reading Interest Pack for Beginning Readers

Ae you looking for close reading passages that are simple enough for your beginning readers?! These community helper themed passages are a perfect addition to your reading resources and can be used in so many different ways!
My favorite way to use these pages is to create individualized reading interest packs for my students.
To do this in your classroom, you will first want to download my
Reading Survey for Beginning Readers(it’s free!). After administering the surveys to your class, you can use the information on the surveys to determine what your students would like to read about. I like to compile these reading interest passages for each student in folders with brads. These folders then serve as an option during individual reading time, or even as a pack that you can send home for students to read with their families.
