Communities SMART Board Thematic Unit

This presentation explores communities from the school, town, Long Island, New York, United States, and world perspectives. This enables students to learn more about their own culture throughout many perspectives. It includes interactive slides, videos, and other web-sites to visit.

**Must modify for your own students' school and town***

You should also create a large interactive map of the town that the students live in using a green science board, black duct tape for roads, and print actual pictures of landmarks in the town that students can velcro onto the map. Can also include a map key, road names, etc.
