What educators are saying

Great way for my students to learn about the many injuries involved in athletics. The way it's organized makes it easy for students to gather the information and use it as needed.
I loved using this product, it was easy to use and download. I've bought more than one product from this creator and will buy more in the future.

    Description

What do you get? These Data Retrieval Charts (DRCs) are graphic organizers that list some of the most common injuries seen in the sports medicine "world." It has space for students to describe "What is it?," "Signs and Symptoms," "Treatment," "Rehabilitation/RTP," and "Special Tests." The injuries are pulled from the Robert France Introduction to Sports Medicine and Athletic Training textbook, so students should have no problem finding information there them there. That textbook is aligned to the Precision Exercise Science and Sports Medicine exam, so this tool will help them with their EOPA as well.

    Which body parts are included?

    1. Chest/Abdominal
    2. Elbow, Wrist, and Hand
    3. Shoulder
    4. Spinal
    5. Foot/Ankle
    6. Knee
    7. Hip/Pelvis
    8. Facial

How can you use it? This is great to have students complete ahead of your lecture in a flipped classroom setting. You can also jigsaw these graphic organizers and assign individual students or small groups of students particular topics and allow them to share what they've learned with the rest of the class. This makes them accountable for their own learning. This is also a great, relevant and functional assignment to use if you have a substitute teacher in your classroom.

What will you need? Access to the Robert France "Introduction to Sports Medicine and Athletic Training" textbook and/or access to the internet or other informational materials!

**I left these products an editable .doc to allow you the freedom to add/remove columns and rows to better fit your own curriculum/textbook.
