Common Core Lesson Plan with Danielson Framework for Literature

My district has adopted both the Common Core and the Danielson Framework for our evaluations and instruction. These three lesson plans include the Common Core standards for grades 9-12 for Literature. I use them for novel and short story readings.

On September 22, 2013, I added an additional lesson plan which has automatic dropdown menus for all the Common Core standards for reading and writing for the listed grade ranges. I also added dropdown menus for Modifications and Accommodations in order to have a template that will last throughout the year.

The plans I have created are unique in that they are fluid, reader friendly, quick to customize, and show every area of a teacher's own evaluation according to the Danielson Framework.


When a person comes into your classroom to evaluate you, the plans will show evidence of every category that is a part of the evaluation process. The plans are also comprehensive for students' understanding. One may use the plans as assignment sheets for students to answer questions, write assignments, and comprehend what has happened in the classroom. I use them as a daily syllabus for students that have missed classes.
