Description

Your students will enjoy writing with these fun Common core Aligned January themed journal prompts, student journals, and assessment rubrics! You can hand out a page each day or bind them into a booklet for each student! Topics include: “Tell how to build a snowman.”, “My New Year’s Resolution is…”, “Compare a snowman and a sandcastle.”, and much more!

These Journal Activities support

Second Grade Common Core Standards:

L.2.2 – Demonstrate command of the conventions of standard capitalization,

punctuation, and spelling when writing

W.2.1, 2.2, 2.3 – Write to persuade, teach and tell a story.

W.2.5 – With guidance and support focus on a topic and

revise and editing writing.

W.2.8 – Recall information from experiences to respond to questions.

First Grade Common Core Standards:

L.1.2, W,1.1, 1.2, 1.3, W.1.5, W.1.7, and W.1.8

Third Grade Common Core Standards:

L.3.2, W,3.1, 3.2, 3.3, W.3.5, W.3.7, and W.3.10
