What educators are saying

Commas in Greetings and Closings of Letters | 2nd Grade Hands-on Reading is a great resource that really helped reinforce this concept in my classroom. Thanks so much!
Any kind of fun activity I can use to incorporate these types of standards makes it easier for students to learn and apply. We loved using the noodles to help create the commas!

I am a believer in a hands-on approach to teaching. Students learn when they are deeply engaged in the learning process. But, what does it mean to be hands-on in your literacy block? From my experience with reading instruction, my students learn best when they are reading, talking about what they are reading, conversing with their friends, moving, and involved in deep discussion. Students learn so much from each other and I believe that the language arts classroom should be anything but silent.
