Pizza - La Pizza - French Vocabulary Activities + Word Wall: This product includes 2 vocabulary activities and a Word Wall to start off a Pizza Unit in French! For the first activity, students will practice their dictionary skills by not only finding the English translation of 20 food items, but also discovering if the word is masculine or feminine. For the second activity, students will use a dictionary and their vocabulary list from the first activity to correctly label each image in French. Answer keys are included for both activities.

The Mur de mots (Word Wall) includes all of the vocabulary words that are in the vocabulary activity, along with an image beside each word. This can be displayed in your French classroom as a visual reference for students throughout your Pizza unit. Just print, cut, laminate, and enjoy!

Commandons une pizza! - Pizza - French Reading Comprehension Task: Assess students' knowledge of pizza vocabulary with this authentic reading comprehension activity! During the reading activity, the teacher will display 5 different pizzas on the board. For each pizza, students are to identify which ingredients are present and which do not belong. This is a great summative assessment for the Reading Strand of the FSL curriculum that requires students to demonstrate knowledge of food items in French. All visuals of each pizza, as well as an answer key, is provided for efficient teaching and grading.

Mon Camion Restaurant - My Food Truck - French Writing Task: This Food Truck assignment is an excellent summative writing assessment to finish a food unit in French! Students are to use all of the vocabulary learned to create a menu for their « camion restaurant », which will include meals, ingredients, and pricing, as well as sections for drinks and desserts. They will provide a company name and slogan for their food truck, design a logo, and answer questions in French about their camion restaurant. This authentic writing task can then be presented to the class, so that you can also get a mark for the speaking strand of the FSL curriculum.
