Description
Colonial times meet the digital age with this engaging web-based research activity that students can use in Google Drive™ or Microsoft OneDrive™. Students will show what they've learned about various colonial trades and occupations by typing information and adding pictures to the slides.
This makes a great independent project or a collaborative class activity during a Colonial America unit. No prep for you; no lost papers for them!
Slide contents include:
- an editable Table of Contents with hyperlinked slides
- 12 slides for various colonial trades/occupations (basketmaker, blacksmith, brick maker, cabinetmaker, cooper, farmer, printer, shoemaker, silversmith, tailor, town crier, and wigmaker)
- a blank Venn diagram that students can use to compare two trades or compare one with a similar job today
- an extra slide in case you want students to research a trade that’s not included
You'll receive:
- a link to the ready-to-use templates in Google Slides
- printable note-taking page
- step-by-step tutorial explaining how to share the slides with your students (both for Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive)
**Please note that you’ll need an internet connection, a laptop or tablet, and a Google or Microsoft OneDrive account.*
