Description
This easy sketchbook cover design lesson is a perfect 1st project for Middle School or High School art students. In this lesson students will explore the bizzare and intriguing work of Renaissance artist Giuseppe Arcimboldo and contemporary artists who work in similar approaches. They will then use either their own profile or the provided blank profile to create a self portrait using drawing or collage that is inspired by the style of Arcimboldo. The back sketchbook cover design will be inspired by hand silhouettes. This is an easy and approachable sketchbook cover project that students of all levels can challenge themselves and have successful designs.
