Description
In the creative presentation, students will learn about the Bay of Pigs Invasion and the Cuban Missile Crisis during the Cold War. Both printable and digital versions are included!
First, students will complete a cause-and-effect graphic organizer while reviewing the information on the Bay of Pigs Invasion. They will then complete Cloze Notes while learning about the Cuban Missile Crisis. Throughout the presentation students will take on the role of JFK’s advisors, discussing and taking notes on what they would advise the President to do through each major stage of the crisis. The end of the presentation includes a film clip showing Obama visiting Cuba in 2016.
To check for understanding, students will complete a set of review questions with a “ticket-out-the-door”. This engaging lecture includes music, links to film clips, pictures, maps, political cartoon analysis, and pair shares. Your students won’t be bored with this one!
