Coco movie -- Spanish day of the dead worksheet

This worksheet is ALL IN SPANISH, for a more challenging class activity. I showed the animated feature to highlight the Day of the Dead. The movie does a magnificent job of comparing and contrasting the world of the living and the world of the dead. Culturally, it's absolutely brilliant and really illustrates the holiday very, very well! I show the movie in English w/ Spanish subtitles and encourage my level 2-3 students to write as much as they can in Spanish for their responses.

Included are 3 activities and an answer key (for the main movie worksheet). The other two are open-ended, creative writing exercises, that can be as easy or as difficult as you need them to be.

There are also two links for additional cultural resources as they relate to the film. Create a QR code from them, and have your students follow the links to learn more deeply about the holiday and the rich cultural traditions of the dia de los muertos.
