Students analyze the song's text for theme, genre and tone in first day, and move on to analyzing each stanza of the song for Days 2 - 8 of the song warm-up packet. The last day of the song warm-up are used for additional analysis of the song.

This tune was originally sung by Carlos Rivera, and was performed by Natalia LaFourcade at the Oscars. You can find her new single by the same name - Recuérdame. The lyrics are the same to both versions of the song- so you could even chose to teach using both versions!
