What educators are saying

This resource it great for moving from the flat tire sound into initial position /s/. My students love being able to move the different pieces while practicing. It is great for getting a lot of trials in.
This has been super helpful with some of my middle elementary-aged kiddos. Lateral lisp is so tricky, but some of my students have said this is their favorite way to practice!

Description

Move from final /ts/ to initial /s/ with this Coarticulation for Lateral & Frontal Lisps Deck! Check out PREVIEW HERE.

This deck helps your lispers move from /ts/ in final position of words to /s/ initial position of words using coarticulation strategies and by "replacing" /s/ with the "flat tire" sound, as outlined in the Bjorem Speech Cues for Lateralization Deck guidelines. Get 175 production of targets (both massed and random practice) with these fun activities as you drag each item to their "homes".

Important: After accurate production of /ts/ in final position of words has been established you can move to this coarticulation step to begin eliciting /s/ (i.e., "flat tire" sound) in initial position of words. The "flat tire" sound is represented by in this deck (the grapheme /s/ is purposefully not being used with these interactive cards. ***Refer to the Lateral Lisp Remediation course from Graham Speech Therapy for more information on this method.
