What educators are saying

My students loved this project! It was an excellent way for them to show what they had learned and what their personal view was without my input. I did change this project into a brochure and LOVED the outcome.
This was a great add-on to our geography unit with a tie-in to science. The kids really enjoyed it and it made my life so much easier.

Most scientists agree that climate change caused by human activity began with the Industrial Revolution in the 19th Century. As economies transformed from agriculture to manufacturing, greenhouse gasses began to collect in the atmosphere causing global temperatures to rise. From glaciers melting in the arctic causing sea levels to rise, to an increased amount of natural disasters, the impact of climate change is astounding. For this assignment, you will study climate change and create a project to showcase your learning.

This resource guides students through conducting their own research report on climate change. Students are asked to conduct research using the Internet and books while following criteria. Next, students are asked to share their learning by creating a poster board, presentation board, power point presentation, or dodecahedron (Instructions & Pentagon Template included). Artwork may also be created to further display learning. Finally, students present their work to the class.

Project-Based Learning (PBL) is a student-centered pedagogy in which students are challenged to actively learn about a subject for an extended period of time. It is a form of active learning or inquiry-based learning. Project-Based Learning is in contrast to paper-based, rote memorization, or teacher-led instruction that presents established facts.
