What educators are saying

A great resource to continue our conflict resolution unit with students. The kids loved the game format!
Such a great resource for teaching SEL themes in a fun way that was engaging for 4th and 5th grade students!

Description

This interactive Google Slides game approaches the topic of agreeing and disagreeing respectfully and politely with elementary students.

"That's a stupid idea!", "That's lame!", "Those shoes are ugly!", we all have heard these comments. Sometimes kids need more guidance on how to politely and disrespectfully disagree with someone else's opinions, ideas, and personal preferences.

This activity is inspired by popular quiz-style shows, but adapted to accommodate a classroom setting. Using an engaging and competitive game, students can talk about:

  1. Agreeing & Disagreeing Respectfully;
  2. Give another suggestion or idea;
  3. Respectful vs. Disrespectful Talk;
  4. Correcting Someone Politely;
  5. Dealing with disrespectful people.

The main goal of this activity is to generate dialogue between students about agreeing and disagreeing respectfully and provide teachable moments.
