Description

This Classifying Matter: Mixtures and Pure Substances worksheet was designed for middle and high school students who need additional practice recognizing and identifying mixtures and pure substances as well as being able to identify the different elements in compounds, and counting how many of each type of atom there is. Give as classwork, assign as homework, or leave for a sub!


This worksheet contains the following questions:
 Classify - Students must correctly label each picture as either a Pure Substance or a Mixture. (15 questions)
 Identify - Students must identify the different elements that are in each compound. They must also count the number of each type of atom in the compound. (10 questions)
 Short Answer - Students must analyze the table above to answer some additional challenging problems. (5 questions)
 Multiple Choice - Students must select the best possible answer for these extra practice problems. (2 questions)


All of my worksheets include:

- Margins that have been appropriately adjusted on the front and back pages to accommodate for hole punching and easy placement in a 3-ring binder.
