Civil War Stations Activity: Comparing the Union and Confederacy

This Civil War Stations Activity is a fantastic lesson to get your students out of their seats and moving around the classroom while they analyze and compare the Union and Confederacy.

Six stations feature characteristics of the North and South that students must review to determine which region their are describing and whether that would be an advantage or disadvantage in the war. They then must explain why it would help or hinder that side in the war.

After completing each station, students answer a short response question on which side held the most advantages in the war and why.

An editable Google Docs version of the activity and answer key are both included for your convenience.
