Description

Here is an engaging Civil War Game Show activity you won't want to miss. Your students will be quizzed on events, battles, and important people of the American Civil War between the Union and Confederacy through a fun game!

The purpose of this activity is for students to show their understanding of the American Civil War between the North and the South. They will be answering questions either as individuals, teams or groups. It is a fun way to review before a quiz or a test.

Here is what you will get:

  • 25 question game show activity about the Civil War in PowerPoint to use in your classroom!

The categories included are:

-Famous people (Lincoln, Davis, Grant, Lee, Jackson)

-Famous battles (Gettysburg, Shiloh, Bull Run...)

-Famous documents and speeches (Emancipation Proclamation, amendments, Gettysburg Address...)

-Vocabulary (secede, rebel, Yankee...)

-Famous locations (Atlanta, Washington D.C., Richmond...)

Prep is quick and easy... Just load up the game board on your computer, display it from your projector, and watch the fun begin!

Here is how to play... It is easy to use in the classroom once you start the PowerPoint. Students pick the category and the money amount, and then the teacher clicks the money amount on the board. The problem will come up. Once the student answers, you click the screen to reveal the correct answer. On the correct answer screen there is a home button on the bottom right that will return you to the game board. It will then keep track of which questions the students already answered by changing that one to a different color on the game board! This is a fun way to review the Civil War.
